Even if you’re not a fan of motor sports, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum should be in your plans when visiting Indy. You can see the actual trophy that is given to Indy 500 winners, the Borg-Warner Trophy.
Take a walk or ride a bike down the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, 8 miles of cultural immersion that was opened in 2013. On it, you’ll see all historically important areas including Fountain Square, Indiana Avenue, Broad Ripple Village, Canal and White River State Park, Market East, Wholesale and Mass Ave.
Go to a festival. Depending on the time of year, you’ll have a choice of the Indiana State Fair, Indy 500, Historic Irvington Halloween Festival, Indy Pride Festival, Indiana Black Expo or OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon.
